Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief

An Intergenerational Mission Trip

16 years and up

June 17 – June 23, 2018

Grace First will be taking a group of 10 people for a week-long mission trip to Houston, Texas to help rebuild a home for a family who lost their home in Hurricane Harvey. We will be working with the Fuller Center Disaster ReBuilders, an organization which rebuilds homes for the most needy in major disaster areas.

The Church will be paying the $100 fee for each person participating, which will cover the cost of lodging, food, and supplies while on the trip. We are asking each individual to cover the cost of travel (airfare to/from Houston) and transportation in Houston to/from the worksite, which we are estimating to be around $400 for each person. Scholarships are available.

The work will be fairly labor intensive leaving for the worksite at 7:30AM and ending the work day around 4:30PM followed by dinner and devotions. Spaces are limited (first come, first serve) so please indicate your interest to Rev. Jonas Hayes contacting him at jonas.gracefirst@gmail.com Also, if you are interested in applying for a scholarship to participate, please include this request in your email.
